It’s been a busy month with all our activities, old and new. We kicked off with Physio Exercises, which are held on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and conducted by our wonderful physiotherapists. Peter does a great job with getting everyone to and from the Men’s Shed, and Men’s Group, the movies in the cinema, and ‘calling’ the very much-loved Bingo. Peter, Ruth, and Warren also ran a BBQ for AFL grand final day.
Our residents have been introduced to a few new activities including no-beer pong, scarf chair dancing and YouTube trivia.
We celebrated Oktoberfest with a BBQ lunch in the Activities room, and of course, the Chicken Dance. House 1 had a BBQ outside on a beautiful spring day with their families. Our competitive Word quiz is always enthusiastically played. Some of our talented residents decorated jars to compete in the Berrigan Show, and got some fantastic results. Audrey achieved 1st place, Verna got 2nd place and Shirley 3rd place, and everyone else got a Highly Commended. Well done, everyone, and thank you, Deb, for assisting. Thank you also to one of our volunteers, Lesley, for getting these to and from the Berrigan Show.
