The Australian government has made historic reforms to the Aged Care Act, which marks a turning point in our sector. These reforms are aimed at enhancing the quality of care for older Australians and ensuring a dignified, safe, and sustainable future for aged care services. While these changes won’t be fully implemented until July 2025, we’re already preparing for the new standards, ensuring we remain ahead of the curve in delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
This bipartisan agreement reflects the importance of aged care to Australians, and we are excited about the positive impact this will have on the people who rely on us every day.
The federal government’s $5.6 billion aged care reform package is the largest investment in 30 years. At Finley Regional Care, we welcome the increased support, which will allow us to continue improving the quality of our services and the facilities we provide. This includes better support for home care services through the Support at Home program and enhancements to residential care facilities.
Recently, we’ve been able to invest in important upgrades such as facility improvements, safety equipment, and sustainable energy solutions, ensuring a better living environment for our residents while preparing for the future of aged care.
As we move into the future, our commitment to providing the highest quality care remains unwavering. The changes ahead bring exciting opportunities for us to grow and further enhance our services. We are excited about what’s to come and grateful for the continued trust and support of our community.
