As we move into spring, I would like to take a moment to share a few updates from across Finley Regional Care and thank our community for their ongoing support and patience.
I would like to congratulate our residents who won prizes for their entries into the Finley Show; the effort and the items were amazing and worth all the hard work creating.
Alumuna Development Progress
The Alumuna expansion continues to gather momentum, with significant civil works taking place across the site and the next stage of home construction now underway. These improvements are an important investment in providing additional independent living opportunities for our community and ensuring Alumuna remains a welcoming and vibrant place to call home for years to come.
I would like to sincerely thank our Alumuna residents for the patience, understanding, and support they have shown throughout the construction process. We understand that building works can occasionally create inconvenience through noise, temporary disruptions, and changes to everyday routines. Your positive attitude and encouragement have been greatly appreciated by both our team and the contractors working on site.
When complete, these works will deliver benefits that will continue to strengthen the village and provide new opportunities for future residents seeking independent living within our community.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank our patients at the Finley Medical Centre. The construction activities and associated changes to parking and site access have at times created challenges when attending appointments. We recognise that these disruptions can be frustrating, and we greatly appreciate the understanding shown by patients, visitors, and our medical teams.
These temporary inconveniences are helping us create improved facilities and infrastructure that will better support healthcare services into the future. Thank you for continuing to support our doctors, nurses, and administration staff during this period.
Finally, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Ashley Petterwood, who recently joined the FRC team. Ashley has settled in quickly, bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to improving processes and supporting our services. The feedback from staff has been extremely positive, and we are excited to have Ashley as part of the FRC family.
