This October has been a great month in activities! Such great numbers attending cinema recently! We have started setting up a candy bar and added some new drinks to our menu. The residents have great feedback on this update so we will continue to add to the “Gold Class” experience.
Oktoberfest celebrations were also on the agenda, with a themed get-together and an Oktoberfest trivia and scavenger hunt taking place. We had plenty of beers and pretzels available for our residents as they celebrated the holiday.
The Kitchen put on an impressive spread as we came together to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We hosted a pink-themed morning tea, and we are so grateful to all who attended and donated.
The Biralee preschoolers were back for another visit, and we had record numbers of resident participants joining in. The residents have said how much they are looking forward to their next visit.
Cindy Doherty was also back, performing another incredible concert. Thank you, Cindy – we have missed your amazing guitar and singing skills!
As well, resident Kerry has been hard at work organising some colouring and craft ideas for the arty residents, who are enjoying learning from her. The results speak for themselves! Incredible work.
Halloween was at the end of the month, and we had a great day of getting all dressed up and going on a Trick or Treat adventure around the facility.
Finally, we have attached photos of our display at Finley show! The residents were very proud of the set up. Enjoy!
All of this plus our regular weekly activities – it’s been another great month!
