Nella McNamara of Finley Community Help Group presented Ben Levesque, CEO of Finley Regional Care, with a cheque for $2,803.81. This grant is partly used towards payment for insurance on FRC’s community car – a Kia Carnival ‘purpose built’ People Mover. This is a seven-seat vehicle which has been set up to take a wheelchair and is used almost daily for staff or representatives to transport residents and/or clients to appointments, outings, etc.
$2,000 of this grant is put towards ongoing support and training for staff in Palliative Care Education. This education assists care staff to learn about and understand a palliative approach to care and help residents and their families through this difficult time.
Ben expressed his gratitude to Finley Community Help Group for their ongoing support to Finley Regional Care, plus the many other local organisations they generously support.
