Finley Regional Care have recently recruited three additional staff through the PALM (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility) Scheme, and welcome our latest recruits from Kiribati to our FRC family.
Raumoa, Joyce and Moniu arrived in March and have settled in well at Finley Regional Care. The girls have been well supported and cared for by Siera, who has had her Visa extended for another 12 months. Siera has been with us for over three years now and was part of our first mobilisation with the PALM Scheme. Currently, a four-year stay is the longest available with this Visa and Labour Agreement.
The PALM Scheme allows eligible Australian businesses to hire workers from nine Pacific islands and Timor-Leste when there are not enough local workers available. The PALM scheme helps to fill labour gaps in rural and regional Australia and agriculture nationally by offering employers access to a pool of reliable, productive workers. It also allows Pacific and Timor-Leste workers to take up jobs in Australia, develop their skills and send income home.
