Well, the Cinema has been running and attendance has remained fairly constant. The shop has been running twice weekly. Bus outings have been enjoyed every fortnight and the Men’s Group have been participating in outings nearly every week, visiting different sights in the surrounding towns. Regular games (bowls, bobs, mini golf, skittles) are being played every week. Singalongs have been reintroduced, due to requests from residents. The social group is running weekly and a varied array of activities are rotated for residents to enjoy.
We have also started visits with Birralee pre-school, which will alternate with the early learning centre visits (making weekly pre-school visits for us!). The “book club” have just started their new book, and are keen to meet weekly for the next instalment!!! Gentle exercise continues twice weekly and has regular attendees.
So, all in all, we are busy in the activity area and are always open to new ideas and suggestions from residents and staff.
