Here at Finley Regional Care, we ensure our staff are continuously up to date with the latest knowledge and practices in aged care. And with the relaxation of COVID restrictions, staff training days have re-commenced. Our staff will now be able to attend a staff training day every year, which will refresh their knowledge and skills in fire safety, manual handling, industry updates and general knowledge of Finley Regional Care’s orientation, policies and procedures. Some of our staff have also recently updated their knowledge around palliative care in the community, giving them greater confidence in providing a palliative approach for people with a life-limited illness living in the community. Their training covered areas such as advance care planning, end of life care, grief, loss, bereavement and self-care.
Staff will also be able to continue their own professional development journey, and will be completing mandatory training and ongoing training modules in our Compli-learn digital platform. Our aim is to provide professional, knowledgeable and skillful staff so that all member of our community and their families can enjoy peace of mind, knowing that they are in the best hands.
