October has been another busy but exciting month with a few new activities.
We introduced pamper sessions, which will become a weekly activity. Residents can enjoy having their nails painted and hand massages. Those residents who have taken part in this new activity have really enjoyed it.
Book Club is back, much to the residents’ delight, and will alternate with the movie sessions. Scenic bus outings will be starting this week, and all residents who wish to take part will get to enjoy a change of scenery and getting out and about. A new gardening club will also be starting up soon. Those residents who enjoy being outside and have the envious green thumb can enjoy growing plants, tending to the garden and breathing in the fresh air.
We continue to have our Wine & Dine sessions, Bible groups and Church. This month for the craft sessions, the residents made hats and games for the Melbourne Cup festivities.
Cooking classes are still being enjoyed by all, with this month the residents making chocolate biscuits, chocolate crackles and honey joys.
We are looking forward to a new month ahead as we get closer to the festive season.
