Well, December has passed, and it’s been a busy, busy time.
First off, Peter, who was a member of the Leisure and Lifestyle team for a couple of years here at FRC, decided that retirement was due, and has left to explore life after work. We wish Peter all the best in this new venture.
Joining the Team is Meg. You might know her from the Reception area, and her enthusiasm and knowledge will enhance the team in Leisure and Lifestyle. Welcome, Meg. Debbie is also here on Monday and Wednesday and keeps us all organised.
December activities were exciting. We had a lovely Christmas lunch up at the RSC, with Jade Camden singing Christmas songs throughout, and a very enjoyable time was had by all. The children from Birrilee Pre-school, the Finley Primary school and the Catholic school came and sung carols for the residents, which was just beautiful.
Lisa and Paul from our catering team cooked up a breakfast feast for the Christmas Breakfast, which was enjoyed immensely by residents and staff.
The Christmas Facility Lunch for residents and families was a wonderful time, where great food and fun was had. Then on Christmas Eve, Robert and Keith put together a great Christmas carol and folk songs singing afternoon for our lovely residents, with some added fun. We also did all the regular activities in between. We enjoyed some entertainment from Steve Bell and Jacki Lee, and there is always a big turnout for the concerts on Wednesday afternoons.
