October was a busy month with our Activities as usual.
We celebrated Oktoberfest with a BBQ Dinner in the outdoor areas of each House. There was good food, good company, a drink of choice and beautiful weather, and everyone seemed to have a good time. We shall be doing another one of these soon, before the weather gets too hot. Big thanks to the great catering team, our wonderful carers, and of course the great team in Leisure and Lifestyle, Meg and Deb.
We had entertainment, movies, and Peter showed more history videos, which is always a hit, and some residents are enjoying Finley Men’s Shed. The fabulous Retreat Dancers came and danced away the afternoon. We had Bus trips to the Model Railroader in Berrigan, and a trip to the Jerilderie Flower Show, with lunch in the park, as well as all the regular activities we do daily.
Some of our talented residents again this year entered Berrigan Show, with entries in the craft division, with knitted coat hangers. Shirley won first and Elaine a close second – great work, ladies. Thank you to Lesley (volunteer) and Angus for getting these to and from Berrigan show.
