What we’ve been up to in January

You are here: Home / General / What we’ve been up to in January
February 4, 2025 by Finley Regional Care

There have been plenty of wonderful activities and events that have taken place throughout January. Under the enthusiastic leadership of Kristine, along with the dedicated support of Meg and Deb, our team has been busy creating engaging experiences for all our residents.

Cinema Club: A hit with residents!
This month, our cinema has been in full swing! Residents have been enjoying a variety of films, sparking joy and nostalgia as they gather together to watch the shows.

Fun and Games: Quoits and Skittles
In addition to our cinema, residents have been having a fantastic time playing quoits and skittles. These games not only provide a fun way to stay active but also encourage friendly competition and camaraderie among participants. It’s heart-warming to see everyone getting involved and cheering each other on!

Men’s Group and Men’s Shed: Back in Action!
We are thrilled to announce that our Men’s Group and Men’s shed have resumed activities! The gentlemen have been enjoying their time together, sharing stories, engaging in discussions, getting their hands dirty and playing cards. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to bond and support one another in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Celebrating Elvis’ 89th Birthday
To cap off the month, we celebrated the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, on what would have been his 89th birthday. Residents were treated to a special screening of an Elvis western movie, with a song or two and a touch of nostalgia.

Australia Day celebration
We celebrated with a BBQ lunch in the Activity room and House 1. Aussie games and music were played, and an Australian movie shown in the afternoon to cap the day off.

As we move forward into February, we look forward to bringing even more exciting activities and events to our residents. Thank you for your continued support and participation in our programs. We are committed to making Finley Regional Care a vibrant and engaging place for everyone.
