There were many tears, much laughter and sharing of memories at Finley Regional Care last week when residents and staff farewelled Leisure and Lifestyle team leader, Wendy Sutton.
Wendy started her time at Finley Regional Care on February 3, 1996. She took on a few different areas of the facility such as the Ulupna Lodge where she was a part of the care staff as well as working in the kitchen. However, it was in the Lifestyle and Leisure department where she really shone. In preparation for the farewell, a slide show was compiled of some of the many roles Wendy has taken on, dressing up for various shows that will forever remain as happy memories for the residents.
Wendy has been an integral part of Finley Regional Care for the past twenty-five years and has always had the welfare of the residents as the most important part of her role. Her boundless energy and sense of fun has lifted the spirits of both residents and staff on many occasions. Her dedication flowed over to her personal life, often running errands for those she cared for out of working hours.
Finley Regional Care Chairman of the Board, Eric Dean and CEO Ben Levesque (pictured below with Wendy), spoke highly of her service to the facility and wished her well in her retirement. Wendy is now looking forward to spending quality time with her husband Barry, their children and grandchildren.
